Goldman Sachs International provides financial products and services to individual clients, plus corporations, governments and other financial institutions. It has four primary strands of business:
The Korean branch, based in Seoul, is focused entirely on client execution activities. The Germany branch, based in Frankfurt, is involved exclusively in lending.
Through its institutional client services arm, the bank is a primary dealer in European government bonds; it works in market making for these bonds plus lending, deposit-taking, secondary dealing (bank loans) and securities lending. This arm also makes markets and provides financing and other prime brokerage services to corporations, investment funds, governments and financial institutions.
