Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

Modern slavery and human trafficking impacts individuals, businesses, and communities across the globe. Compare Banks is committed to doing its part in combating these crimes. As such, our organisation strictly prohibits human trafficking and forced labour in all of its activities and procedures.

At Compare Banks, we believe in total transparency, and we stringently adhere to the requirements of The Modern Slavery Act 2015.

The sections below outline how we ensure that no instances of modern slavery or human trafficking exist within our organisation. We regularly review our practices and policies to reflect our values and ethics; that is honesty, transparency, and fairness.

Our Business

Compare Banks is a financial product comparison service that is committed to providing honest, relevant, and up-to-date information for our audience. We are one of the biggest bank comparison names in the UK.

We employ a number of financial and business experts that deliver guidance in the following areas:

  • Banking
  • Investing
  • Loans
  • Credit cards
  • Business
  • Payments

Our Company Policies

Compare Banks is committed to keeping all aspects of modern slavery and human trafficking out of its organisation. Our employees are managed appropriately through our Human Resources department and they are all paid National Living Wage, or more.

All outsourced services are diligently vetted and required to report their Modern Slavery policies before we commence working with them. We ask these organisations to detail how they ensure there is no human trafficking or slavery within their operations or supply chains.

Where a contract permits, we audit and review associates that are considered high risk to modern slavery or human trafficking.

Company Training

We conduct training within our organisation to raise awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking. This training also encourages employees and associates to recognise and report any suspicious activities.

Our training programmes are both conducted and reviewed annually. This ensures all participants have the latest guidance fresh in their minds. Trainees are aware of what is expected of them and how they can raise issues with management.

This statement adheres to The Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is our company’s statement for the financial year 2022/2023.
