About TSB

TSB is a UK-based retail and commercial bank. It is a subsidiary of the Sabadell Group. The TSB we know today came to be in 2013, formed from Lloyds TSB Scotland PLC and Cheltenham & Gloucester. It is headquartered in Edinburgh and has more than 550 branches and 4.5 million customers in England, Scotland and Wales. The bank has no presence in Northern Ireland.

The bank originally known as Trustee Savings Bank was renamed in 1995 after being taken over by Lloyds and becoming part of the new Lloyds TSB. TSB was divested from Lloyds Banking Group in 2009 after the European Commission ruled that the British government’s stake in the company constituted state aid. The company was re-registered as TSB Bank in 2013, and TSB ceased to be part of the Lloyds Group in 2014. Sabadell took over the bank in 2015.
