Export-Import Bank of Korea, also known as Korea Eximbank or KEXIM Bank, was first established in 1976. It is the official export credit agency of South Korea, which has a largely export-led economy. The bank works to develop relationships between South Korea and other countries by providing loans and financing projects. KEXIM manages the Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund and Economic Development Cooperation Fund.
KEXIM Bank operates internationally in 16 countries in Hong Kong, South Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, the United States and Europe.
KEXIM Bank UK is a wholly owned subsidiary of Korea Eximbank founded in 2003 and a member of the Natwest Banking Group. It focuses on retail, corporate and investment banking services and operates across the UK and Europe. There are five branches situated in the UK, with one further branch in Antwerp.
KEXIM Bank Products and Services
KEXIM offers a full portfolio of everyday banking services to personal customers including fixed deposit accounts, savings accounts and loans plus credit cards, debit cards, and pre-paid and travel cards offered through KEXIM’s partner RANFORD Bank. Customers can also transfer money anywhere in the world and make payments using the KEXIM Bill Pay service.
For corporate banking customers, KEXIM Bank offers services including foreign exchange, corporate finance, acquisition finance, import and export financing and cash management. KEXIM also works with clients to identify opportunities such as mergers, acquisitions, and overseas markets.
KEXIM is not an offshore bank but offers advice and expertise to clients on which offshore banks they might want to work with.

KEXIM is regulated by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority. Deposits of up to £85,000 are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
